Pen&Internet Announces New Program

Sunnyvale, CA April 17, 2002 The Pen&InternetT division of Parascript® today announced a new worldwide Partner Program created to empower partner websites with the popular riteMailT technology, which is being made available to its direct customers at www.ritemail.net. Through this program, any Pen&Internet partner can offer visitors to its website instant access to riteMail for the creation and sending of handwritten messages and drawings directly to any desktop or mobile device on a variety of platforms.
riteMail is an easy-to-use, interactive electronic ink email application that allows freehand drawing or writing with a stylus, mouse, or touchpad in diverse styles and colors. riteMail also includes Pen&Internet's riteShapeT technology, which instantly transforms freehand drawn shapes into perfect ovals, rectangles, triangles, arrows and other common figures and enables efficient and natural charting capability. riteMail is fully language-independent and is being used in more than 30 languages in over 60 countries worldwide.
riteMail works on all Microsoft® Windows®-powered platforms, Mac OS®, Linux®, and UNIX®, as well as on Palm® OS and Pocket PCT handhelds. Recipients of riteMail messages typically need no special software to be able to view and respond to handwritten notes from any desktop PC: messages can be viewed and printed from any Java-enabled email package -- such as the current versions of Outlook®, Netscape® Mail, Lotus® NotesT, Eudora® and popular Web mailers -- as well as from any Java-enabled Web browser.
Any partner signing up for Pen&Internet's new Partner Program will be able to quickly implement the riteMail service for visitor access directly from the partner's website. Pen&Internet provides the back-end server technology and service required to maintain and support this program.

As a Pen&Internet partner, WacomT Technology currently offers riteMail to new users of GraphireT and IntuosT graphics tablets through the Wacom Privileges program. riteMail is also bundled with the URThereT @migoT Pocket PC and is included in the Sun® Java Application Showcase of the 10 best applets on the Net. In partnership with the International Child Art Foundation, Pen&Internet has built an online animated gallery of child artwork from around the world.KidsTurnCentral and Pen&Internet have also
opened a virtual art room and holiday-related art projects using riteMail.
